MB350 Product Information

Master Bond MB350 is a single component, low viscosity alkoxyethyl cyanoacrylate type system. Unlike most standard cyanoacrylates, MB350 is specially formulated to lessen the possibility of the material leaving a white residue on various substrates. That residue, which appears as a white powdery material, is referred to as blooming or frosting. During the curing process, monomers are released into the air and react with humidity causing a white, powdery material to form. Invariably, it falls back onto the substrate. Many people refer to this as blooming or frosting. This low odor, low bloom system greatly decreases the possibility of this taking place.

MB350 is a high strength, rapid curing cyanoacrylate type system. It is a relatively lower viscosity, faster setting system. Similar to other types of “super glue”, MB350 cures very rapidly with the rate of cure dependent upon the humidity—the higher it is, the faster the cure. Because curing is normally fast, minimal contact pressure is usually sufficient for bonding. It must be emphasized that this high strength system requires no heating or mixing. It typically sets up within 10-40 seconds depending upon the humidity and the substrates. The bond strength is exceptionally high in the shear mode. MB350 bonds well to a variety of substrates, especially to plastics, rubbers and metals. It has reasonably good chemical resistance, especially to cleaning agents. The service temperature range for this system is -60°F to +250°F. MB350 is a versatile, high performance cyanoacrylate that can be used in a wide array of different applications in the aerospace, electronic, OEM, electrical, optical and R&D industries.
