It is important to note that the cure speed for these one component systems is dependent on the thickness of the layer as well as the humidity. The thicker the adhesive film, the longer it will take to cure. Typical thickness/depth should not exceed ¼ inch, for proper curing. Special, 100% non corrosive grades have been engineered for small encapsulation and conformal coating of electronic devices. Such grades offer low viscosity, high elongation, and outstanding dielectric properties. Selective one part silicones have been successfully tested for 1000 hours at 85 C/85% RH.
Special Properties of One Component Silicones
