Considerations for Bonding Torlon® PAI polyamide-imide
Master Bond EP29LPSPAO-1 Black, EP93FRHT, EP17HT and EP42HT-4AOMed Black have proven desirable in meeting many difficult requirements. Cryogenically serviceable EP29LPSPAO-1 Black is a two-component thermally conductive compound that passes NASA low outgassing specifications. This epoxy system features high dimensional stability, low shrinkage upon cure, and serviceability down to 4K. EP93FRHT is a two component Flame, Smoke and Toxicity (FST) Airbus ABD0031 rated epoxy. It contains a non-halogenated flame-retardant filler and is RoHS compliant. Single component EP17HT possesses a superb electrical insulation profile and chemical resistance. Its glass transition temperature (Tg) is a phenomenal 220-225C. Master Bond EP42HT-2AO-4Med Black is a versatile adhesive system that is serviceable from 4K to +400F. This formulation dissipates excess heat, meets USP Class VI as well as ISO 10993-5 specifications, and withstands multiple autoclaving cycles.
